After the clean-out, we spray an essential-oil scent barrier around the exterior for two full months, so rodents stay disinterested while the exclusion work takes hold.
What a clean-out actually fixes
Rodents don't just live in a crawlspace or attic — they destroy it. They shred insulation for nests, soak it with waste, and leave a scent trail that tells every other rodent in the neighborhood "move in." Trapping alone never ends the problem; the contamination has to go too.
- Crawlspace clean-out — full debris and waste removal, sanitizing, a rodent-proof 10-mil vapor barrier sealed to the foundation walls, and vent screening
- Attic clean-out — contaminated insulation removed and replaced with fresh borate-treated blown-in insulation brought up to code, which pests won't nest in
- Exclusion — steel wool, hardware cloth, and sealant on every entry point we find, so the work holds after we leave

We run every clean-out through the full loop — trap, clean, seal, barrier, re-inspect — so the fix lasts, and we're willing to stand behind it for a year.
